See, he is bummed too.
When he jumps on me or when we are playing, he gives me little scratches from his claws. Well, his little doggie oils get on me and I break out in to hives! YIKES! It is very attractive.
It is not so bad that it is uncomfortable, but I do have some sort of reaction.
So there you go, the saddest thing you have ever heard...today.

Oh, my ... sounds like shots are the way to go. I know that sounds awful, too, but between shots and daily Allegra, I do pretty well all year long and I'm allergic to cats/dogs/etc. One thing you might try that has really worked for me is to wash really good after you touch Diesel a bunch. I don't mean just a little pat, but when you get in the floor and really love/wrestle with him, go wash your face and hands (arms up to your elbows) ... see if that helps. Also sounds like you are going to have to learn how to be one step ahead of him when playing so he doesn't scratch you, or change your play style. Poor guy (and gal)!
As for your hives ... yikes! Ouch! I've never had them, but I bet you are miserable. I hope you are able to figure out something QUICK so you don't get worse!

You poor thing. I can tell you that the puppy scratches will calm down. Chloe used to scratch us like crazy but now she is really good about not jumping.
I am allergic to our dogs dander. If I keep them bathed it is not as bad but when the are shedding is the worst.
Hopefully you cab find something to take that will help!
