So you think you can dance?

Well, I finally made it to a SYTYCD audition. I have tried for the last two seasons to get to one, and this year... New Orleans Season 6 was accomplished. Season 4, both of my planes were cancelled, season 5, I got sick the night before and even this season I unfortunately lost my grandfather right before I went to the audition. I have a wonderful family though and they encouraged me to go anyway. I got the chance to say goodbye to my grandfather before he passed away, caught a Thursday flight and Friday morning got the news of his death. I wanted to come home and be with family, but since I was already in New Orleans, I decided to stay and at least try.

It was a lot fun and a very long day. Everyone was really nice and there were a lot a cameras around trying to get everyone to do the best tricks and dance moves. I did get to meet the judges and Cat Deeley. All were incredibly genuine and very encouraging

Make sure you watch in September because you just might see me! I am the girl that cried. Can you believe it? I always make fun of that girl but it happened to me. I am not sure how they will (or if they even will) make the story come alive, but I did cry... oh.. and so did my mom. (how embarrassing for both of us!)

Make sure you watch! SO YOU THINK YOU CAN Dance Dance Dance!!!!!!

I am so excited to hear that you finally made it to the audition! I can't wait to see you on tv! I can't imagine how hard it must have been when you just lost your grandpa! What a great family you have to be so encouraging at times like that!

WOW! I LOVE the show so much and am so excited that you are going to be on it!!!...I often think about you and that amazing dance that you did at After Dark to "I Can Only Imagine!" ...So, did you make it to Hollywood? Or are you not allowed to say? ... And, I'm so sorry about your grandpa. I'm sure that his memory made your dancing even more beautiful!

I am so excited for you!! I know how much you LOVE to Dance!! I have always looked up to how you can set your mind to something and you go for it! I can't wait to watch!! This will be my first season to get into - every time I watch dancers I get sad that I just let my talent die (or what little talent I had! HA!)

Miss ya tons, D!

I love that show and am totally addicted to it each week! I can't wait to see you! So did you move on to Vegas (I think that's where all the good ones were sent if they made it through this season)? Good to see you are doing well!!

Beautiful audition! Also, I loved the song you danced to, can you please tell me what it was?

I am sorry for your loss, but it gave you the strenght and voice to truly dance your solo. I grew up in Lexington and went to Barbara Ann school of dance and attended SCAPA. I would love to see you go all the way! Good luck....see you in Vegas (on the DVR of course :) )

I just got done watching your audition and congratulations on making it to Vegas! I used to live in Lexington and I'm rooting for you. I have to ask - who sings that song you danced to and what is the name of it? It was beautiful. My husband and I watched it over and over again and loved it!
